 Beautiful Because is a program designed to promote nourishment to the mind, body and spirit for patients who are undergoing chemotherapy and / or radiation treatment, for those who are returning to work during or after completing cancer treatments and for those interested in learning how to nurture from the inside out as they move beyond their cancer treatment. Patients are taught make-up application techniques, offered recommendations for wig selection and are provided demonstrations on scarf wrapping and hat selections.
Recently we partnered with Alyson Hoag, CEO/Founder of Authentic Beauty at our annual Hug Yourself Valentine party. Alyson created her company from the belief that inner beauty, self-acceptance and learning to express your Authentic Self will create outer beauty. Alyson is so passionate with this message that she devloped a program the Image Journey, an interactive self-discovery makeup lesson that empowers women to learn how to express their Authentic Image and aquire simple and refined makeup techniques they can do themselves.
"I truly believe that every woman is beautiful, says Alyson. When she looks in the mirror, she should recognize her inner-self shining through, rather than a face dominated by makeup. I love guiding her through that journey. Watching a woman fall in love with herself is the best job anybody could have!"
Beautiful Because includes a program for Sexual Health & Rehabilitation. Often after surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, a woman can experience not only emotional changes, but physical changes as well. Through our Sexual Health & Rehabilitation program, women will become educated on various products and techniques that may renew their sexual health and well being.
